Each horse begins with carefully selected Australian timbers, chosen for their strength, character, and suitability for long-term use. From the first cut to the final hand-finished polish, every stage is shaped by hand in our workshop using traditional woodworking techniques.
Alongside solid timber construction, we use heritage materials including genuine leather, glass eyes, and real horse hair — details chosen for both authenticity and longevity.
For families who wish to add another layer of meaning, we also offer the option to place a small time capsule within the body of the horse during construction — a hidden record of the child, the moment, and the people who loved them, waiting quietly to be discovered by future generations.

The Making
Marking Out & Cutting
Every rocking horse begins with carefully selected timber. Each piece is marked out and cut by hand.
Glued Up & Carved
The individually shaped timber pieces are carefully glued and assembled, bring the rocking horse’s form to life.
With the carving complete, the rocking horse receives its beautiful chestnut finish, bringing out its character and detail.
Painted & Finished
Completed with genuine leather tack, glass eyes, and real horses hair - ready to become a family heirloom.
